2021 Skate America: Women's Free Skate

Congrats to all medalistes! Well deserved medals.
My favourite of the competition was Satoko. She deserves a medal for her beautiful style of skating.

Well, that was a fantastic competition! I'm exhausted.

Sasha delivered. Super surprised that Daria took 2nd, I really didn't think the judges would go for a senior debutant like that.

If pcs were scored correctly it would be Ksenia 5 points ahead of Trusova instead of the other way round. Honestly it was to be expected. I was afraid they were going to go as far as giving Trusova 73 pcs.

This was possible the best ladies event ever! So many clean and wonderful skates! Happy for the skaters, pleased with the result.

Sasha only going for one quad, landing it clean, and still winning with good margin is so great. Best decision! I think it´s good she is back with Eteri!

That was really a great finish to a great Skate America! Enjoyed that a lot ... and mega looking forward to Vancouver! In the meantime, there are a few Russian comps to watch.

Wow, the technical panel found their glasses from yesterday to today and actually put them to use! Suddenly everyone‘s getting edges called (Sasha and You’s 3F, Daria and Kaori’s lutzes).

This was a great competition overall. 7 out of 12 girls scored 200+ and Kim Yelim just missed the cutoff. The last group especially were top-notch. Questionable programs, but still good overall skating. I think Shin was the only one who fell.
