I think that was a better skate for Damien than Sask Skate. He got the combo and the Axel wasn't popped. One fall though. He's also got the heel spin for a spin feature now too. 53.82

Fall on the 3A for James Cha. Awkward falls for him, it looks like he's collapsing when he's landing. He will be interesting to watch live at Challenge. Paint It Black fits his style.

David Shteyngart - two falls to start I don't think he's landed the 3A in competition yet. But overall better than NextGen.

112.77, total 174.39 into first.

David Bondar - interesting, started with a 3S, I think he's planning on adding a 4S there. Popped axel (edit - I think this was a planned pop, or else his layout doesn't make sense since he'd be repeating 3A, 3Lz and 3S according to the protocol.) 3A-3T. Fall on a 3Lz, so can't do his sequence there. Doesn't get his last spin.

He looked tired towards the end, which is understandable. 114.69 for the free, total 179.73, so he does win here. Hopefully he isn't too hard on himself for the mistakes in the free, it's a week after he competed in China. If it's his lowest scoring free of the season, he's doing pretty well.

I missed Damien's scores, but I think he did better than at Sask Skate?

And Rio is doing Notre Dame de Paris for his free 102.15 for the free, 159.72 total, into first.

I think Bruce attempted a 3A and fell on it too. He should win here, I think that was his only major jumping error. Some not great landings though. 116.19 for the free, 185.27 total for the win.

The domestic benchmark is 219, international is 204. So he's not getting closer.
