Are you sure Amber's struggles are only mental, though? Just because she has a 3A doesn't mean her physical form is perfect otherwise.

Amber's struggles were absolutely mental. She was doing clean run-throughs with the 3A left and right for years, landing loads of 3As in official practices, but never replicated that in competition until she started working with a sports psychologist. She used to visibly deflate after every mistake and never tried to find a way to minimise the lost points (for example, if she missed a combo in the Free, she wouldn't add it on a different jump), and that is much different now.
