2025-26 Russian Grand Prix - Stage 5 - Omsk

But if they were ready, they should have went. It's not only taking spots, it is also competing unprepared leads to all kind of bad things.
Sonik earned the spot for years of service, former champion of Russia and best skater in the world at one point. She's still a beautiful skater, but all the jumps have gone Seemed like a farewell, but I hope not.

But if they were ready, they should have went
Who? They weren't ready is the point. That's why they didn't go and there was an open spot.

It's not only taking spots, it is also competing unprepared leads to all kind of bad things.
Like what? Why would she not want judging feedback? Why would she not want readjustment to the competitive atmosphere? She is already jumping 100 triples a day in training anyways. She wants to show her programs that she worked on.

So P/C scored 171 with bombed RD and big mistake in the FD. I wonder what would it be if they were clean. By the way, I don't remember them having mistakes in the free, it was always their RD.

I may be biased because of the music but i liked this program. No clue if it was technically good or not.

I feel like they're a little slow. The ChSq was really lacking to me. Abdullina's look must be one of my favourites this season.

Abdulina/Petrov have suddenly improved. They used to be much weaker technically. I mostly knew them because of their performances in the ice theatre. They split last leason but started skating together again recently.

This is probably first time there will be two teams from Saint Petersburg at Nats.

I don't know about all that in front of the judges. Kind of strange moment.

Goncharov is technically strong. I am surprised Anna can keep up with him. They started impressively fast.

I think Goncharov needs to relax with his acting and accept that Anna is carrying their PR. He isn't convincing in this way. It's sort of distracting.
