2025-26 Skate Canada Challenge | Nov 27-30

So much talk about the team event but the reality is that you don't get to strategize when you only got one man and one woman. You also don't get to swap out Deanna and Max when Lia and Trennt have been so inconsistent.

Can you swap Piper and Paul will LaLa ? Probably only for the Free dance, if Canada is not going to win a medal and just wants to rest Piper and Paul. I doubt that Fournier-Beaudry and Cizeron would do the team event or its Free Dance portion as France is unlikely to contend for a medal with how weak their pairs and women are... So that's one team that wouldn't beat the Canadians in the Free Dance... but the Italians, if they don't perform perfectly well and Canada does a bit better than expected would be in race with Canada for the bronze (and maybe with Georgia too) so there is no way you can send your dance team number 2... even if it's a high quality team like LaLa.

So, first day, is easy... your man, your woman, Piper and Paul and Deanna and Max
Second day, your man, your woman and then if Canada is still in the race, you have to send the top teams again. If Canada is out, you can send you team number 2 and rest Piper and Paul and Deanna and Max for their individual events.

Not rocket science... It took me much longer to type it than to understand it.

Are they using the BC flag for Breken? They used it for David H last night too :palmf: I can understand mixing Manitoba's flag up with Ontario, but not BC.

I know. They talk like we are sending two or three skaters in each discipline. Only Japan and USA have to worry about being strategic.

No time yet to watch FD's (I'll do it later) at SC Challenge, but some time to reflect on the men's FS. Aleksa did it! I might not be a real fan of his skating but he is the only one with the 3lo-3lo that I love so much. He won the FS deservedly and he ended in third. I was happy for Wesley, a bit disappointed in Keegan, and enjoyed - as ever - Bruce's skating. Anthony had quite a few pops which is a shame as he is so watchable. Quite impressed by Greyson.

Jessica!! She was so happy!!
I like this skaters. But, she was so slow on the ice. Like 30+ PCS slow…..

But, so nice to see her at Challenge as she would always be eliminated at Quebec Sectionals. Ontario Sectionals is way easier….
