I think she may have had issues with her laces based on the kiss and cry and got a deduction for the delay.

so the delay before she skated... well that may have calmed her down and helped her with the first 3 jumping passes

Wow!! Could have scored 156 if it wasn’t for that lace issue.
Oh well, she skated lights out in the first half.

I was wondering why they showed us the wall, prior to Hetty’s skate.

I know. They all scored over 145 at Sectionals just to get here. I expect the remaining QC girls to make it though…

Looking at the remaining skaters, I suspect Amy Shao will not make it to Nationals.

The rest of the skaters all skate 150+ consistently enough. I know, ice is slippery.

Sandrine and Reese are the most prone to disaster free skates. But, they usually do enough to cross 90.

Reese only need like 80 something points. I think she would be safe. Sandrine... well that's the gamble she took on and I hope it's successful.

Marie-Maude is usually solid enough.

Honestly, I am okay if Amy doesn't qualify. She needs to regain her jumps and come back stronger next year.

I'm a bit confused, as I'm not familiar with this event. Is it sort of a pre-nationals Nationals? Is it a cut-off event? Score this much, or you don't go to Nationals.

it's the qualifying event.
18 will qualify to Nationals but 3 have byes from being on the podium last year (SMD, KMS and MS) + 1 more, Uliana for her GP assignment. (edited for clarity)

Minimum scores were needed earlier to get here but at this point, it's all about ranking.

Close to domestic benchmark. Will Peter beat Nadiia?

It is 165 for Ice Dance
166 for Senior Ladies

I wonder how many will score over at this event. Might not get them international assignments this season. But, helpful to set targets to be ready for the following season

I agree. Great outing for Amanda and Peter. She was so happy in the k&c. So was he. Nadiia and Noe not so much. They looked rough to me with mistakes.
