I am honestly really disappointed with most of the music selections that are coming out for next season. There are soooo many warhorses and war-ponies! I was hoping for a lot more novelty and variety now that we're past the Olympic season, but no such luck. Le sigh!

Yep. But there are some new and original choices. So far Mao Shimada wins for me.
We have some music from the move soundtracks that haven't been use before (or very rarely) like the Sandman, Everything Everywhere All At Once, How to train your dragon, The Queen's Gambit. We have Nina with Rosalia's Berghain. There are also some classics but not so overused that I'm excited about like Mikutina's Dvorak (I bet she was inspired but the dj from Prague's worlds ), Il Barbiere di Siviglia for the Peals and Giselle (modern Akram Khan's version) for IkuKo.

I am sure @elektra blue will be pleased to hear that.
Maybe there should be multiple awards for ice dance alone.

well.. there is something that will help your awards

a lot of rhythm dances are combining two completely different and unfriendly rhythms....

so let's think waltz for a second and then insert samba, tango, jive etc in the second half. Will we have costumes changes ? Will we have completely crazy costumes trying to fit it all...? Or will we have a waltz costume that has nothing to do when the other rhythm comes in ?
It's going to be something else.

My guess is we won't see many waltzes and waltz costumes, we will mostly see waltz patterns applied to completely different styles and music.

That was put up yesterday. On Tuesday, Aleks had put up another video of her and Mark training. But all she said about it was that the music had been replaced. So, it may be another video of her Short Programme, or it may be a video of her Free Skate programme. We just don't know.

Looking forward to seeing both of her programmes for her first season of representing Great Britain. I'm sure they will both be beautiful (because Aleksandra's programmes always are!)

I am REALLY looking forward to seeing this. "The Matrix" music always produces great programmes, and Aleksandra's style of skating will be perfect for it.
