All Star Survivor!

It should be pointed out that Shii Ann wasn't just the odd man out on her tribe in Thailand, but was treated really poorly by the other women on her tribe. When the two teams moved in together, and everyone thought it was a merge, Shii Ann I believe went out of her way to approach the other team because it was her only chance. Based on all previous editions of Survivor, it was a smart move - but she fell in the trap that Burnett & Co had set. Too bad!

Also, the two teams had at least one more immunity challenge as teams living together after Shii Ann left before a true merge happened.

I am so thrilled that Prince Boy Colby is out of there. It was so nice to see his names called as the next one voted out of All Star Survivor. And best of all not expecting it either.

I think it was a smart thing for everyone to do, to vote him off first, because he would be a major threat down the road.

Overall at times I find watching the All Star Survivor "boring" It has its moments. Perhaps maybe its because we already know what each contenstants personalities are already having watched them on previous Survivors and they just get boring to watch.

I thought the "twist" wasn't really a "twist" Infact I kinda guess myself it would be something like that. Its similar to what they did with Pearl Islands, but having Rupert join the other tribes camp. This way they recieved a great reward.

Things will get interesting once this game does the merge. As for then, this is just getting "boring" for me. And that's surprising coming from me, since I love Surivior.

I found it interesting that Lex was the one pushing for Colby being ousted, because he's such a "threat" with the individual immunities. Didn't Lex put together a string of winning 4 or 5 individual immunity/rewards himself? He's no "little threat"!

Thanks for the info, I was wondering about that. Now I'm wondering that when they do merge this time around, if ShiiAnn is really going to believe it or not!:)

I am so sad that Ethan is gone. I wonder who made Lex king of the tribe? Why do you think Kathy went along with Lex? I would much rather have Ethan than Lex.

Dang, my eye candy is gone! I LIKED Ethan, I thought he was very sweet and nice, in both shows he's been in. I do agree with Lex, that friendship or personal relationships and the show are two different things. However, I think it was very stupid to get rid of Ethan right now. Suppose there isn't a merge next week? How much chance does Lex and three women have against the Chapera tribe in immunity or reward challenges? I agree with Ethan, that Jerri deserved to be gone before him. Argh!

Kasey

I guess I don't understand Lex's logic. As Kasey said what about the challenges if they don't merge. Does Lex and Jerri really think they have a chance with Boston Rob around? If they merge, the Chapera tribe will stick together and dump the Moga-Mogans quickly. I understand that Lex is keeping Jerri because he thinks she's not a threat but I really don't think that Ethan was either.

Dee

I agreed with Lex over the issue of having a former winner in the final two and being compelled to vote for them. That alone made Ethan a huge threat, although Jerri probably deserved to go first.

I don't think it's a matter of Lex running the tribe (although he probably had more justification running the tribe since he was part of Mogo Mogo from the beginning, unlike Ethan). Lex supposedly is very good friends with a lot of the Survivors outside of the game, so they probably take that into consideration.

To me it looks like Kathy is running the show more than Lex. Notice how at every tribal council Kathy is always the swing vote.

Rob continues to be an incredible player. He's right about Rupert's stock falling after Rob caught a bunch of fish.

Just a reminder that the show is on tonight.

The previews look pretty wild!!

Ahh, the damn recap show!! GRRRRRRRR
Me too Kasey!!!GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

Did we know that is what the show was going to be? What makes me mad is I hurried home to watch it.

Yeah, I was annoyed over the recap show aspect of it, too, tho the more previews I saw, I had a feeling that's what we were in for. Had I known for sure, I wouldn't have even bothered. Secondly, this edition last week FINALLY got some sort of momentum going, and then they broke the momentum with the Stop And Recap thing.

However -- I'm curious about something. Actually was wondering it last week, but when Boston Rob came out and said it --. OK, the deal is supposed to be, contestants aren't allowed to make any deals to split the money with other contestants, right? So what if Rob or Amber wins, and if by some trick of the universe they actually end up getting married?? Wouldn't they then be splitting the prize money by proxy?? What happens then??

It's worth noting that the recap shows are CBS's idea, not Brunet. I heard Probst on a radio interview last season talking about how CBS insists on a certain number of episodes, despite the structure of Survivor that dictates one less episode than CBS requires. Hence the recap shows. Probst hates it too and was glad they avoided it last year by creating the extra tribal council last year when they brought back the voted out members for that one immunity challenge.

I think the issue is making 'a deal to split the prize'. If Amber and Rob agreed to split the money before actually winning/the finale, then this would be construed as conspiring. It's ok to plot to get to the final 2, but you can't say 'if we make it to the final 2, then we'll split the money'. At the beginning, they both said that they formed the alliance in order to try to get to the end - nothing said about splitting the jackpot.

What surprises me is that people haven't tried to vote one of them off. You never let such an obvious alliance stand to the end. I think if the vote came to Rob or Amber, then Rob would probably win. He's done a lot to get his team winning - valuable player in all the challenges.

If Rob & Amber do end up getting married, I wonder if he would ask for a prenuptial agreement.

I can't wait for tonight's episode. I'm glad we're back to the regular schedule. I'm hoping they wise up and get rid of Boston Rob. What are your predictions???

I'm guessing Jerri goes tonight. Dee, I'm surprised you want Rob to go. He's arguably the only one who deserves to win with the way he's been playing.

After tonight's episode Rob has proven himself to be one of the best players this game has ever seen. Put him up there with Rich, Brian, and Rob C. Not once in the history of this game has anyone been able to manipulate how the OPPOSING tribe votes until tonight. He has everyone running scared, even Lex. It is the same way he played in Marquesas, but he's using the strategy much better this time around. I remember he had a confessional in Marquesas where he talked about how if people fear that they have something to lose than they will do whatever you want them to, referring to The Godfather. Well, it looks like he knew exactly what he was talking about. He really is the Robfather. Even if he doesn't win he's already established himself as one of the best ever.

Lex has spelled his own doom. In two votes he has lost his closest friends on the island: Ethan, and now Jerri. Bye Lex!

Amber was actually interesting tonight. Maybe we'll get to see more of her playing the game from now on.

OH MY GOD.

What a frustrating episode! Lex, Kathy and Shii Ann, all 3 of whom were favorites of mine, are complete idiots, and they totally deserve to be picked off by the Robfather and his cohorts whenever the merge finally happens. Hey Mogo Mogo (I'm using the original team names) - maybe the reason you keep losing so bad is that none of you are thinking strategy!

So........after being handed a sacrificial Lamber on a plate, they choose to get rid of their own tribe member, reducing the team ratio to 6/3 instead of 5/4 because they're afraid Rob will be mad at them?!?!? IDIOTS!

Lex: for once, I thought your flawed habit of telling the bootee they're going would work in the right direction, because Jerri was right when she said that Rob would turn on all of them as soon as it's convenient to him, but no. But while we're at it - why do you think it's a good idea to tell the person they're going? For that alone, you don't deserve to win.

Kathy: Ever since you hung out with Chapera on the boat, you've been looking for an opportunity to cross over to their team. What you don't see is that they don't need you at all. You are deadwood. If you make it to the merge, you will be booted early.

Shii Ann: Talking to Rupert, you (correctly) assert that Rob is the hugest threat once the merge happens, and if he goes on a winning streak, he'll win it all. And yet, in your own tribe, you say you don't think he'll last very long post-merge. So, I guess it's a good idea to eliminate someone from your own tribe instead of pissing him off by taking out the one person every single competitor in the game knows is his closest ally?!

Rob and Amber: I can't stand either of you. I dislike you both individually, and I despise you even more as a mushy couple, but I gotta hand it to you - getting those 3 boneheads to shoot themselves in the foot was impressive. I can still hope that next week promises that Rob will make a huge misstep that will cause his own tribe to wake up and get rid of him, but who am I kidding? Rob is running this game!

At this point, it wouldn't surprise me at all if the final 3 were Rob, Amber and anyone else left in the game, and if the 3rd person wins immunity they will take Rob to the final 2. Rob has done Brian Heidik's strategy one better because he has players from both teams wrapped around his finger! Kathy and Rupert would both feel he's a better player than Amber, Lex would feel like he owes Rob something, Shii Ann will be long gone by then, but she would feel he would be a good person to go against, Tom would defintiely take a guy instead of a woman, Jenna will do whatever Rob tells her, and Alicia? Well, she's the only person who might not take Rob with her, but I think she will definitely be gone next week, so it doesn't really matter.

BAH, SURVIVOR!
