I second that. Even her stroking looks insecure. Only the spins don't!And there's always this palpable sense of caution from her
credentials, yes. they probably wear not just theirs but also their skater(s)'
104, that's more like it...they gave her 112 at Nats for a similar performance (ha! now we see.)
Great job Alissa.
Alissa Czisny, USA
Dr. Zhivago
3lz-turn-2t - wild on lz landing
3f - 2foot
3lo nice from 3-turns
2a lean but done
3lz-2t (slight 2foot?)
3t-2t
2a good
spins all as well-done as can be
honestly, she's lovely and all, but leaves me cold. Did nothing with the music (not that this is great music to express, i concede). So has a pleasing gentle quality, but lacks refinement still. Underuses her arms. And there's always this palpable sense of caution from her -- still builing on her competition confidence, naturally. But many elements she does beautifully well and rightly scores big...
I really prefer Suzuki from JPN, but she probably doesn't score well on spins
104.19 -- 159.81 -- 2nd
wow, I'm surprised but pleased Suzuki leads
Actually Alissa skated this program much better than she did at Nationals.
Akiko 3 points behind on PCS? :scowl: Scandal! There really is no love for the "lesser" Japanese, yesterday Taka, today Akiko. Akiko's speed and edging, her confidence level and spunk is far superior to Czisny's - they should be equal on PCS because Czisny has the better posture and better flexibility.
i said two days ago, judges no love for Akiko, she only got 24+ PCS in SP
