From
fsrussia.ru, 20. August 2022:
This year two athletes from our school are taking part in the test skates. Andrei Anisimov has been training at Moskvich for several years, Maxim Belyavskiy moved to us at the end of last season.
We started the preparations in mid-June after a short holiday. We went to training camps in Sochi. First we had a camp with physical training, just off-ice. We tried it for the first time. The guys were engaged in choreography, stretching, physical exercises, reconditioning. For Lyosha Erokhov, Ilya Yablokov, Andrei Anisimov and other students it was a first experience of such training, usually, we started practising on the ice immediately. But this time, we took to the ice in Sirius only after the physical training camp, and I liked that as a coach.
We continued to train at the rink in late July, and speaking of Maxim Belyavskiy, it was only at that point he began to more or less maintain the workload. He did not train in April and May due to knee problems, and we started to fully prepare in June at the training camp. In such a short period of time it is difficult to assess anything, because in the month and a half before the test skates we had to do a fairly large amount of work, catching up with what we could not do as planned.
We changed both programs for Maxim, as he had skated the previous ones for several seasons. Evgeni Vlasov choreographed the programs. The short - "Bring Me to Life", the free to the song "I Will Be There" from the musical "Count of Monte Cristo". We are planning to perform the free skating with two quad salchows and two triple axels. That was the content we were working on. If all goes well, we could add a quadruple toeloop. But as long as Maxim is still growing, it's hard to say anything definite. We will be guided by the situation. We are aiming for a free program with three quads, two salchows and a toeloop and two triple axels.
Andrei Anisimov will start this season as a junior. We will see from there. It is clear that his height and build make him look like an adult athlete, but his appearance is not everything, he must have experience, confidence, stability in the performance of programs and elements. Everyone is different, it's all very individual.
Andrei also changed both programs. Nikita Mikhailov choreographed them, as he did last season. The short program was set to music from Anna Karenina and the free program to the musical "The Ball of Vampires".
The production was in progress prior to the training camp, with the programs being skated and refined in Sochi. I suggested the music for the short program. I had seen the musical Anna Karenina and I liked it so much that I immediately had the idea of setting the program to this music. I suggested it to Andrei and he and Nikita Mikhailov found it interesting. At the end of the season Andrei went to see this musical too, where Valeria Lanskaya does a fantastic vocal part...
To be honest, I don't pay much attention to how often certain tunes have been chosen for programs. I would like to repeat that each athlete is different and has his or her own way of expressing himself or herself in a program. We need to grow and try out different ways and styles.
We are planning a quadruple flip and a rittberger for the free program. Andrei already did the quad salchow in previous seasons, so we will try a flip, we were working on it. Probably we shouldn't talk about a hundred percent success rate on this jump, but we need to move on. And now is the time to do it, to show programs to judges and spectators in a more complicated version, because it is always possible to simplify.
In planning this season, of course, we took into account the changes in the rules. We had no problems with the step sequences, and in the free program for juniors there will be a choreo sequence instead of the steps. It was a bit more difficult with the spins, because there is a change of position through a jump, as well as complicated exits. Not all the guys can do it easily, we have to devote a lot more time and attention to it. And even for the test skates I cannot say that in this respect everything is ready in the way we need to show in the season.
The changes in the rules affected not only juniors but also adult athletes, but our senior team will be at test skates at the end of September. Unfortunately, Ilya Yablokov will not be able to take part. Last week he had a surgery on his right knee. Ilya fell off the quadruple rittberger in training and injured his meniscus. Nothing prepared us for this turn, training was going as usual, but, alas, it happened...
The surgery was a success. In the near future Ilya will start rehabilitation, physical therapy and all the necessary procedures. He won't be able to appear on the ice until September.
We have discussed the matter with our federation. We will plan the stages of the Russian Cup or Grand Prix for Ilya closer to the second half of the season. We hope everything will work out.
Lyosha Erokhov is training. We're working on steps, spins, we're working on new programs, - said Viktoria Butsaeva.
