How many spots do we have for junior worlds in the ladies event? Are we thinking it's going to be Starr and Kaitlyn?

Ashley... junior girls... oh my.Your disdain for her is quite apparent. Now you’re just being silly.
LOL pretty funny. How about Lu Chen? Jimmy Ma and Emmy Ma?
If she does or doesn’t go, she won’t change who she is, we know this. However, her stating this on the air may open the eyes of outside forces, like NBC or public sponsors. who may put PR pressure to take her.
If she does it the private way, USFSA can just say “we’ll take it under advisement” and do what they wanted to anyways, and after the fact, if Ashley puts up a fuss then, put out a bland public statement thanking Ashley for her long contributions to figure skating, but they are going in a different direction.
Chen and Chan are the same name? very confusing.
..... but I don’t know how to report people.
I feel like Ashley really has only herself to blame for the situation she is in. One does not simply debut a "one month old" program at Nationals and expect to gain a spot in the Olympics by virtue of her PCS. Hopefully the selectors hear the pure ungracious bile she unleashed during the interview.
IMO no amount of pressure will convince USFSA to knowingly give themselves that huge of a PR disaster which will no doubt ensue if they pull another 2014.
Am I sure that they're Asian? Yes
You really think the US public cares who's on the Olympic team? Everyone I know who is watching this has never heard of any of these people and won't remember their names until reminded again by February. Sad to say, but that's the case of figure skating in the US now.hwell:
It was clear after the short program who they wanted to send. Ashley doesn't stand a chance. Maybe it she had finished her program at Skate America they would have thrown some PCS her way at Nationals...who knows.
Is there something Ma could mean other than horse?
Click the Triangle in the bottom left of the post you find to “go against forum rules” and do not quote them in that thread. It’s next to the SEND PM option![]()
These was huge backlash over Ashley being chosen over Mirai by the general public. Plenty of accusations involving race/racism, even people in my college who knew less than nothing about FS were talking about it. It was headlining newspapers, etc. Pull that with Ashley (again) and another asian skater (again) and it will not be pretty. PR disaster going into the Olympics (in ASIA).
They just see the world silver medalist and 3 time national champion being left home because of undercooked components scores.
