2024 Canadian Nationals Senior Women LP

It's 5 am and I'm not asleep yet for some reason so I've teleported here, apparently Mlle. Schizas had a diaster?
It wasn't a total disaster, but it was a tough skate, and there were several very good skates from others.

What they will do if Kaiya earn her SP minimal technical at 4CC and if she beat Madeline Schizas at 4CC could it be possible for Kaiya to represent Canada for world ?

Kaiya is going to YOG, so no opportunity to get Worlds minimums soon. Maybe at a Senior B later in February/early March.

Well that was a fight for Maddie all the way through. The lutz used to be such a solid jump for her, I wonder what has happened?

I just feel like she seems to have lost her joy of performing. A few years ago she went out there and looked like she relished being in front of the crowd. That seems to be gone. She seems so careful now instead. She needs to get that joy back, and I'm not sure how she does it.

That was a weird fall on the loop. Looked like she had it.
It started last season, when she just didn't seem to have the joy or passion for skating anymore. With the better programs this year, she looked more into it. But even in her interviews she has been pretty ho-hum about skating in general, and hasn't given the impression that it is a great passion in her life. It's totally understandable given all the pressure, but I can't help feeling bad because she is such a great skater and performer. Not to mention extremely valuable in Canadian skating at the moment

again... Skate Canada :) they could help here, taking away a bit of the pressure on her by getting other women out for tech minimums...

since Maddie played MVP at the Olympic team event, it's like Skate Canada decided there was only one woman able to represent Canadian skating..

BTW : i am afraid they will do the same to Hetty.
