Didn't the U. S put an age limit if when they could skate junior , seniors?

International age limits do not apply to domestic competitions such as US Nationals. Alysa Liu won Nationals at age 13

I first saw Audrey when she competed at the Youth Olympics. I thought then that she would progress into a top skater, but she seems to be stagnating just below the top US tier. She is beautiful to watch, but there are just too many technical errors.

I would love to see another podium for Starr (after her Skate Canada silver), but I'm not sure she can.

Artistically she's capable, but from a technical standpoint, is it possible? We have a woman landing a quad, and another attempting the triple Axel. Starr isn't even doing a Lutz jump.

We have a woman landing the quad and doing a below average rest of the skate. Quads shouldn't be either everything or the only thing. It's a jump. Sonja Hilmer does things no one else can do and gets no credit.

I'm not saying that quads should be the 'be all and end all". I prefer balanced programs that showcase great footwork, spirals, choreography, and jumps. I would always prefer to watch a program like Sasha Cohen, instead of a quad-filled Russian woman's program.

My point was that if you have:

a woman landing quads

a woman landing triple axels

most other women landing lutz combos

most other women landing lutz jumps

and you're here at this level, your medal prospects are going to be very difficult.

I’m rooting for Amber. But, wish she wouldn’t go for the 3Lz. It is too inconsistent for her. But, I love seeing the 2A 2A sequence in her planned layout in the second half. Something I have never seen her do…

I hope Lindsay makes the podium. I actually wish they would talk about her more (so underrated )
