wild axel... a bit cautious... fought hard

Not a bad skate from David, aside from the axel mistake, but the program isn't quite as exciting or unique as the previous two Davids, the choreo isn't quite as inspired and there wasn't quite the same commitment to the performance yet. However, if he can put together a strong free program, he'll run away with the title here based on his technical ability and his solid short showing.

This is going to be rather irrelevant, but seeing David Howe skate to that really nice cover of "Everybody Wants to Rule the World" took me back to the day after the World Championships ended, when I stood in front of the Sacre-Coeur Basilica and listened to a guy with a dulcimer playing the same song. It was quite comforting to me after all that happened there, and David's performance provided that same kind of comfort.

OMG!! I just finished watching the Junior Men’s SP…
I stood up clapping after David Howes performance. Wow!! He was perfect!!!
So good!! I’m so proud of him!!
He has a chance to go to Junior Worlds now!!
I just hope the pressure of being in the lead doesn’t rattle him.

Right now, furiously waiting for them to upload Junior Girls and Junior Rhythm dance. Will it be tonight?
Will take a shower and pray they upload soon…

He doesn't unless it's next season. He doesn't have the minimums and entries are due January 28. If he does win, there isn't time for him to get the minimums. Hopefully he'll get more chances for them if he can have a good free tomorrow and stay on the podium.

Yes. I’m just happy he skated so well in this SP….. never thought he would surpass 70. When he came up, I was hoping he would do well enough to score 60+
Worse comes to worse…..
I can save this SP and the LP from Challenger and watch those.
I at least have him skating these programs well once, so I can watch again and again

Go David’s and I’m happy Edward did so well. Any of these three can win.
I kind of want David B. to do well, so he can go to Junior Worlds. If he doesn’t do well, it opens the door for Anthony/Grayson double.

Skate Canada usually sends their junior champion and the next best candidate. So if anyone of these boys wants to go to worlds, they probably need to place first as I have suspicions that they will send Anthony...

I may be able to catch the last flight...not sure. I am going to my first swimming training of the year and I don't want to skip it and get evil eyes from my coach haha. Also, right now, I made the mistake of installing an OS update on my and it is taking forever, so I am on my phone. Hopefully the computer will be good to go by the time I get home from the pool.

Really ? I think it's between Bondar and Eddy. I wonder why they would think that David Howes is for sure going to outscore the guys who have triple axels... Of course, people need to land their tricks... Also, Eddy is not to be dismissed when it comes to PCS.... David B is a bit less advanced in that department.... David Howes is the better of the three but weaker content.

That was how they came off to me, I think it's because Howes has the silver from Challenge. I think it's between the three of them for the podium, but no idea how it'll work out.

And he talked about only doing one run-through before Nationals, Ted and Kevin wanted to listen in.
