2025-2026 South Korean Figure Skating

According to this article, Chaeyeon Kim will also be competing at the Skate Ontario August competition, along with Lombardia and Nepela Memorial - https://mfocus.kr/sports/skating/25098/

Official entry lists for Ontario are supposed to be up by July 25, so it should be confirmed then.

Jia Shin will also be competing at Cranberry Cup for her Senior international debut and will also be at Nebelhorn.

(also Minsol is confirmed not to be at NextGen, so back to waiting)
I am so excited that Jia will be going to Cranberry Cup. I am definitely getting tickets now.

Jaekeun Lee when asked what he's skating to for his free this year:

'piano song'

(Rachmaninoff Piano Concerto no.2)

He's doing Il Postino for his short, which OG fans will remember Junhwan did for his free in 2017. Really leaning into the lyrical/classical stuff this year.

JGP quota distributions (junior women)
2 tickets: Kim Yujae, Kim Yuseong, Youn Seojin, Huh Jiyu, Ko Nayeon
1 ticket: Joo Hyewon, Kim Minsong, Lee Hyowon, Hwang Jeongyul

Olympic Qualifying Competition selection: Kim Hyungyeom

I'm so happy Jiyu Huh climbed up, it wouldn't be right if she didn't get two spots. There's not that many naturally gifted performers❤️

Anyone know how to get tickets and when they might go on sale?
Both the Ranking Competition and Nationals are usually free entrance, I've only ever bought tickets for Nats once in 2019. However KSU is under new management and since both are taking place at Mokdong I'm hoping that they'll sell tickets, I am tired of having to wait in the cold at 4 am to get a good seat

Ok. Imma need the name of the singer who covered Chasing Cars for the long program of junior Nayeon Ko. Such a beautiful cover perfect for skating! Once Nayeon performs this program perfectly, it'll make an impact and have the crowd feeling so happy and appreciative!

The cover is by Tommee Profitt and Fleurie.

Not having people wait at 4am in the Korean winter certainly seems like a win, though as a foreigner ticket websites are sometimes tricky.

I’m planning to align my trip to one of these two competitions, do you recommend one over the other? Seems Presidents Cup might be easier to get good seats and offer an opportunity to see the same skaters. Thank you!
