Junior Worlds Qualification Rules

For 3 spots:
- If a country only has a single skater/couple, that skater/couple must place 1st or 2nd.
- If a country has multiple skaters/couples, the top two of these must have placements totalling 13 or less

For 2 spots:
- If a country only has a single skater/couple, that skater/couple must place 3rd through 10th.
- If a country has multiple skaters/couples, the top two of these must have placements totalling 28 or less

Special notes:
- Skaters/couples qualifying for the FS/FD but placing 17th or lower receive 16 placement points regardless of actual placement value
- Skaters/couples competing in the SP/SD but not qualifying for the FS/FD receive 18 placement points regardless of actual placement value

I had fun tracking this as each discipline finished last year and had saved my formatting for my posts, so I figured I'd do it again!

Also, JGP spot rules are based on the 2016-2017 Announcement, but they haven't changed for a few years yet, so I'm assuming for now that they'll remain constant.

All these Ladies have topics at "Fan Fests", so anybody may get extra info.

Most promising of girls,who did not paricipate at JGP Events, are Scherbakova, Trusova, Panenkova, Tarakanova. All of the same coach - Eteri Tutberidze.
Very high level girls, with about the same results of 2016-2017 season. They all won each other in season.

Shcherbakova and Trusova both land 3Lz+3T and 3Lz+3Lo (I've seen it by my eyes) on no doubt positive GOE (Trusova sometimes gets GOE +3 for 3Lz+3T and it is deserved). They both are practicing quad jumps, and at Shcherbakova's video (in her Fan Fest topic) I see 4T+3T of quality absolutely enough for Senior Men. Shcherbakova at gala after local competition skated complicated version of her FS - 5 combos, only triples including 3Lz+3T+3T (not solo combo, but at program!).

Panenkova is first who landed 3Lz+3T both arms up (i.e. rippon). Also she has all jumps at 2nd half, all triples rippon, all 2A tano, both at SP and FS.

Tarakanova - nice skating, good skating skills and presentation, won both Nationals Younger Age (Zhuk Memorial) and Nationals Elder Age at 2017.

Shcherbakova is a phenom: artistically, physically and psychologically.
She's no-nonsense girl, raised by no-nonsense parents, trained by no-nonsense coaches.
Devoted to training rather than duckfaces or selfies on instagram, equipped with good genes for fs, if I had to bet my money on some of present Russian juniors success in senior skating, I'd lay it all on Anna. She's been a crouching tiger, going to bare her sharp teeth on JGP in few months. :yes:
