2018 Olympic Figure Skating Short Dance

Perhaps the best night of ice dancing I've ever seen. I think any of these top ten would be worthy of a medal.

Really? I wouldn't rank it in my own personal top 100, but you know de gustibus non est disputandum.

Sigh. I think it's time for some chocolate.

Very nicely skated Short Dance event. Too bad that costume malfunction messed with the French. But I am sure they will bring it in the FD. I'm glad H/D are in 3rd but the margins are so close, that bronze is still anyone's to claim.

If I ever see the last two or CL with an olympic medal it would be so sad, their skills are very lacking.

I mean, they already gae one to Goncharov so, credit is over for this kind of silly jokes.

This is probably the first time in Ice Dance history where

there is no Russian team in the final group, Right?

Was there ever an Olympic Ice dance podium with no Russians on it?

Fair scores I believe. PC still in front on PCS, quite sure they will get it in the FD !

Not overly happy but VERY confident now :)

That was total nonsense. Total and complete. Anyone who wants fair judging should be horrified by the score the judges just gifted to P/C. Over 80 with this obvious, obvious mistakes, that really, badly impacted the performance. I mean, kudos for her for continuing with her dress undone, but come on, it was totally distracting to them and it showed.

That was fun to watch! I'm not quite as invested in ice dancing as I was in pairs so I look forward to see how it turns out! I hope the Shibs can finish on the podium though, their twizzles are the bomb and they're so speedy!

As for Tessa and Scott and Gabbi and Guilluame it's impossible to know...I just hope everyone has a great skate!

Now I have to head out...it's mid-afternoon here in Australia and I got stuff to do. :p

The only thing thing that is clear after tonight is that I am going to need a lot of hard liquor to get through the free dance and the inevitable judging nonsense.

I didn't notice the dress had come undone until I saw the posts here. But keep on with that.

So Bobrova and Soloviev lost levels on three of their elements and are still ahead of Chock and Bates...? Cool... [emoji52]
