Whoa. Shocker. But, Adam really was perfect.
The last flight was solid. Ilia is so tough under pressure but one little mistake was the difference.And, his PCS just wasn't up to Adam's today.
So glad that Yuma has returned. Congrats to the medalists!

still a bit salty about my son's PCS score but anyways this was such a good event, congrats to everyone! 1-4 place were all incredible to watch, truly Worlds-level in November!

Yuma has the best skating skills from this group. Adam is more expressive. Ilia is a fabulous jumper though today he had a couple bleeps.

Wonderful skate by Adam in front of the home crowd. He deserved to win. Félicitations!

Ilia loves his SP, but he does not love the LP (or at least is not demonstrating it in the same way). He needs to bring that to the LP to make up for inevitable, every skater has them, bobbles. He should still be proud of his skates.

This podium bodes well for great rivalries ahead!

I just love great skating and we saw quite a bit of it. The skaters ended in the correct places and that is also a great thing. The playing field is fierce but fair and that is the best kind of event.

This was a fantastic men’s event, especially after the hot mess that was Canada and the anticlimactic ending of the ladies’ earlier today. Siao Him Fa deserved to win and I’m glad Ilia responded well to the pressure. Placing second after a skate like that means more if you’re cleanish than if you made a bunch of errors.
