I have to say though, this program does nothing for me. I feel like everyone skates to this sad-girl emo ballad stuff now. Jia herself is amazing.

As someone who was temporarily off the Jia hype train last season, I just have to take my hats off for her team for the work they did on her basic skating and performance quality this season. Just a level (or even 2 levels) above everyone else in this competition. The jumps are solid but it's everything else that sells it to me (and her improvement compared to her early showings of the program). At only 15 years old there is of course a difference in terms of maturity and experience, but the patience, the purpose, the awareness throughout the program... beautiful.

Well I hope everyone enjoyed front row action from Korean Nationals! I know I did.
Thanks to our gracious host and guide @Ichatdelune for helping us navigate our way.
Hopefully the Korean skaters gain some recognition and new fans from this thread and @Ichatdelune some new friends along the way. Special thanks to our mods for bumping the thread up and giving others the chance to recognize these skaters. Also thanks to any YT posters whose videos made it possible for those of us in other time zones to enjoy the action!!

Final stops on the tour of Nationals are Canadian & US Nationals!
Our Canadian friends are great at sharing their skaters with the world, but unfortunately US Nationals is the stingiest in sharing their event with the rest of the world.

I set out to recognize Nationals from as many countries as I could manage to make threads for and find videos for. I feel like each country has been given a chance to shine and for us to recognize and know their skaters better going into the final majors of the year.

I know there is almost no chance of that, but I really want to see Dabin Choi still in Team Korea. she is so elegant. impressive

When you look at her record of what she has accomplished, its amazing ...Standing O from Yuna Kim at the 2018 Olys for her short and she came in 7th overall. Though often a bridesmaid and not a bride, she is still wonderful to watch. Like Wakaba... On Dabin's birthday, Jan 19th, I will think of her as I walk up that Gangway to board a ship to Panama and hope she is happy.
