Did Kieran just lose his belt?

Made me so nervous when he skated over it!

Great to see such a big crowd this year, after last year's disaster.

Clearly the side by side synchronized spins need to be worth more. Obviously they're difficult since so many teams seem to struggle with them, even internationally. In person, they are really impressive when done well.

I continue to loathe the side split lift that everyone does. Awful.

...it wouldn't be Canadian Nationals without a random costume malfunction (that will result in a deduction). I'm not sure if it was a bootstrap or a belt, it was a belt, but Kieran did well to skate through the distraction.

Kieran's lucky he didn't lose his pants

Or, break his neck, or his partner’s.
Pairs is dangerous enough as it is, without random bits of costume falling off midway

Deanna really is a queen! So commanding presence on the ice and each movement is with such an outstanding elegance, polished...now I understand why Canadians love her Exceptional. Though, this is only a warm up...you never know how actual skating will go...
