2025 Skate Ontario Sectional Series | Aug 15-17

Yoshida/Morita - I don't think these are their final costumes, they look like practice ones? He's sparkly, she isn't. They looked a little slow coming out of the second lift. He looked like he put his foot down on the second set of twizzles, and this is where it needs to happen. Good luck in Beijing! 98.04 for the free, total 163.07 total into second with Hensen/Lickers left.

David S - same short as last season. Started with a 2A. Fell going into a spin? Nice transition into his step sequence. I wish there were replays, it'd be helpful. 66.43 for the short.

Jake - Also same short as last season. Popped the first jump in the combo into a double and stepped out on the second jump. Fall and slide into the board on the solo jump. He doesn't look as happy as he usually does going off the ice :( 54.53

Alec - Conquest of Paradise. Popped first jump (I think that was going to be a quad). Popped the axel. Got a 3-2 for the combo with hands down on the first jump. He looked into the step sequence. 51.36

John - He kept Angels. Landed the first quad. Fell on the second, no combo. Step out on the 3A. Step sequence is great. 71.51 into first.
Damn. John needed that combo if he wanted to surpass 219 for a Challenger event.

Ethan - popped the opening jump of his combo, his 3Lo looks better than NextGen. Camel spin wasn't spinning today and he ended before the music. He looked like he was having fun out there though, I like him for that. 49.15, just keep having fun out there Ethan.

just got back from the gym and that's my 5th workout this week... so yeah.. I am dead... and i need to make dinner... not like it matters because I ain't paying... but I will be looking forward to your Play by Play for Senior women.

Re John Kim... of course, not what he wanted, the quad was under so he lost not only the combo but some BV as well... and 148 in the LP is not easy to get the 219 but i am just happy to see him compete a lot... it will come. He is too talented and I see consistency for him not as an issue of nerves but more about experience unlike some other skaters I won't name :)

Second warm-up group now on the ice. Natasha Hewitt withdrew. It's nice to see Cristina competing back in singles while looking for a partner.
