I think she needs to adjust to her new coaches and training environment and not worrying about competing the quad lessens the load on her.I have a controversial opinion about Mia. I like that she has new coaches and is working on her SS. But, I actually think she should still do her 4T. Her toes are so just much better than her flips and lutzes. If she did a 4T, she could do one less flip or lutz. Her 4T was her best jump. Forcing her to do more flips and lutzes isn't helping her IMHO.
Yes, but I honestly think lutzes and flips are harder for her than the 4T which is why I don't like this jump content.I think she needs to adjust to her new coaches and training environment and not worrying about competing the quad lessens the load on her.
Mia has always lacked speed. It is, in fact, a common problem with a lot of US juniors. (not Sherry, though) Alysa had (has) this problem, too. Mia's coaching team helped Alysa a lot with edges but not so much with improving speed. That will take time.Is it me, or did Mia seem to be skating really slowly?
and when I heard the music, specifically at the end, I could only think of Sasha Cohen, and not sure if that's who you'd want people to have on their minds when you skate.
Sonja and Starr are the highlights for me up to this point. Not the best night of skating thus far but nice to see Starr move up the standings.
