Not sure about that but watching old skating videos from the 6.0 era made me realise...they mark really low! Like the lowest mark would always be from an Australian judge, I never understood why, though it makes me chuckle and .

Begging forgiveness from karne, my sense is that Australia chooses their toughest judge to send outside the country to ISU events :agree:

....Otherwise, we'd see more correlation between their domestic scoring at Australian nationals and what they give everyone ........including their own skaters......abroad.
