I'm guessing it's because some of them, like the quad, had so much height and we've been seeing the guys essentially do miniature jumps throughout the entire competition- that, and the fact that obviously he's a nostalgic favorite. But there have been other skaters throughout the day as well that have been getting positive goe on jumps that would never warrant that outside this competitionI’m simply not understanding how Keegan is getting positive GOE on these jumps
Clearly the judges are seeing something I’m not
I find his program choices duller than ever though... if you gotta return, bring us something more fun... I am not asking for a change of style from him... but these programs, especially the SP are well.. dullThe judges certainly are very nice with goe to Keegans jumps.the pops are infecting him... is that only one combo as well? His performance quality is still keegan so its enjoyable to watch
you are generousKeegan will win gold.
But, his chances of going to the Olympics is 1% now
59% Stephen
40% Romsky
1% Keegan
TES will be in the 50s. Uncompetitive internationally. With PCS scores in 80s, I suspect he will win here
I agree with everything, except I'd probably put Gogolev at 65%Keegan will win gold.

that deep knee bend. he always landed like this before no ?How did some of those landings happen?!? Is Keegan part cat?
Gabby was beaten by two juniors in the short here.the criteria have been shared already
Nationals is only one part of it... body of work for the last couple years counts
Also, who is fit and ready.
If Gabby won, she has a win in a Senior B.... and that's it. The last 2-3 years, she was injured. However, I'd say she would still have a chance because she looks very fit right now. In her case, all the jumps she had have been recovered.
I don't think Keegan has a chance of winning nationals so it ends there for him. Unlike Gabby, he is not fit and ready to go. He was beaten by a Canadian junior in his senior B competition. (Grayson). His quad and axel are still iffy.
There won't be a skate off because submitting names for the Olympics happens before 4CC anyway... and 4CC athletes also need to be chosen ahead of time so everything will fall in place right after Nationals I believe. (probably not the Sunday of Nationals but just a bit later)
Keegan will only go to the Olympics or nothing. I am pretty sure that's the plan.Wow!! Keegan didn’t even win!!
Wesley was smart to compete here. He just locked in his 4CC spot. I suspect Keegan will skip 4CC and Aleksa will compete there instead.
yes.. but Minsol cannot compete for Canada yet and Reese, if you know her, I doubt she will skate a good long program. She's often excellent in the SP but doesn't have the depth to perform well in the LP yet.Gabby was beaten by two juniors in the short here.
You can come over anytime and take one of my curtains.Where can I get a blouse like Wesley's blouse?![]()
In one of the mid-zamboni interviews, Debra Armstrong (?) said they will be announcing the Olympic team just after Nationals (late on Sunday or Monday). They pretty much said that the Olympic team isn't going to 4CC during an interview at SCI with Debra Armstrong. Skate off is unlikely.
If there's a win by less than a point, it'll come down to body of work.
Yep, that's the same deep knee bend I recall...still nuts after all these yearsthat deep knee bend. he always landed like this before no ?
