Correction: my darling's FS is to the soundtrack of The Batman (2022)

He is again aiming for a 2 quad short and a 3 quad free(presumably 4S-3T being used), we'll have to see whether it comes to fruition or not since that was the plan last season and he ended up going with a 1 quad short and a 2 quad free

Wow! He is upping his technical content. I hope it doesn’t mess with his consistency. But, adding a quad to both programs is a must, if he wants to compete against Shoma. I just have a feeling, it is better to go with the same content as last year to attain consistent results.

Sihyeong has withdrawn from both of his Challenger assignments  I hope that whatever is going on with him is not going to keep him from competing in his two GP assignments

I’m caught up with figure skating from this weekend and the Korean skaters really wowed me this weekend
Seojin was amazing to me; like I stated last season, I thought she should have placed 6th at Nationals and been sent to Junior Worlds. I thought she doesn’t get high enough PCS domestically and I’m glad the international panel agrees with me. I was so happy to see her scores from the SP. In the LP, she does have to focus on rotating her triples and she deserved her bronze medal.
Minsol to me is a star. I love watching her perform. It is like she forgets she is in a competition and she draws the audience in. Tiny jumps though…
But, Seojin will be the one I root for this season. My fave Korean Junior now.

As for the Seniors, I thought it was a strong start for the first of three out of five Senior skaters going to GP circuit.
C. Kim to me is solid and consistent and reliable. I enjoyed both of her programs and with a score of 200+, she is already a lock for one of the Korean spots for next season 👏
My concern is that she seems to have a ceiling of 210. If others Skate cleanly, she will place behind them. But, due to her consistency, I see her making the Senior GP Finals this season.
Haein Lee - My fave; I thought she should have won her two events domestically, last season, but, only placed third at both those events. Then, she won at 4CC and silver at Worlds and a win at WTT. Her PCS was finally matching what I saw on the ice. Then, this event happened. I saw her SP, and thought, yes, she has issues with her combo, but, her skating skills were terrific and i absolutely loved her short program. I expected 35 in TES and 35 in PCS and then I saw 30 in PCS. She has to start fighting again… she is so under rated. I thought the silver medal at Worlds would give her a nice PCS cushion. But, oh well, she has to fight again this season and 190+ and silver is not a bad start.
Finally, Young You wasn’t that bad. Apart from no triple triple, had she not screwed up a spin, she would have placed 4th instead of 5th. A good start to her season. She just has to go from 180+ to 190+ to continue skating internationally for another season and she doesn’t have to worry about any juniors moving up for this season and the next season. I was happy to see her skating.

Hi - I'm new here. Not sure this is in the right thread. SUddenly both Harley Windsor and his new partner have stopped posting to Instagram. Cho Hye-Jin even took down her youtube videos of their tryout, and blurred him out of a recent video on Instagram. Anyone have any insider info? What comp would they would be training for at the moment? Thanks for any info!

There are rumours that they've split, because why else would you scrub your social media presence of your partner? Personally, I'm glad; Korea does need a pairs team but Harley liked some really misogynistic and terrible content on Twitter (think Andrew Tate fan) and Hye-Jin deserves someone who will respect her.

Absolutely ridiculous that minkyu got even lower pcs than Hyungyeom in the short. Terrible judging

Yes, they’ve obviously split, the question is WHY. To be accurate , she scrubbed all social media presence, not Harley. I have not read the misogynistic comments you’re referring to, I frankly didn’t think he was even straight. In the documentary he seemed like a normal dude, but clearly have no idea— most of us don’t— what he’s like in real life. In the video she posted of them during their try out, there was a lot of smiling and encouraging from him. It just all happened very quickly since he posted them skating on October 2nd. Very strange, indeed. Anyway, thanks for responding .

Only two spots for the girls 🥹
Jia Shin killed everybody!
Yuseong nailed that 3A to earn her spot
C. Kim is still my favourite; she moved up from 7th to 3rd with her fabulous free skate.
Minsol Kwon was robbed! I think she should have placed 4th over Yujae; the difference between these two artistically is much more than what the judges give to them;
My fave junior Seojin, of course collapsed from 2nd to 6th. She has issues with most of her triples.

Watching the videos from the competition, many of the top skaters moved to coach Chi from coach Choi. The twins, Ah Sun, even Jia (previously coach Bitna P). Anyone knows the reason? Conflict? too many skaters under the same coach, wouldn't it affect the quality of trainings etc. Just my 2 cents.

Does anyone know what happened to Seoyeon Ji? She didn't compete in a while, and she used to be one of my favourites...

The National Winter Sports Festival is going to take place 2/20-2/24, which is stupid because skaters like Jia and Hyungyeom, who are in all likelihood going to go to JW, have to compete there for their college portfolio one week before JW. I hate being a Korean figure skating fan.
