Things of note after day 1:

- Minkyu's lutz edge is slightly improved, looked shallow outside to my eyes but tech panel gave a !
- Jiyu's flip still has an outside edge (from what I've seen) but again tech panel gave a !
- Yujae got an e and a q on her flip
- Only 4 girls got a StSq4

Lol, Ice Dance keeps on proving that it's just a glammed-up version of Musical chairs But, I'm all for seeing more new teams, so I'm not complaining.

As soon as I saw the yellow sleeves on Minkyu I knew what I was in for. It's not my favourite style but I like that he's trying new things, and it's a good type of program to do while you're still junior. Jumps looked ok for this point in the season.

Who picked Jaekeun's free program? Super drabby and heavy imo, doesn't show off his best qualities.

Skimmed through the ladies short, I thought Jia was lovely but that program is a bit traumatic for me, lol. But I think it could be really special if she opens up just a bit more. The twins looked good, but Yujae got a hot mess of a dress and Yuseong got a really beautiful one! Also liked Nayeon Ko. Was disappointed to see Seojin struggle, she has some special qualities. Hope she makes some of it up in the free.

I thought Jia was going to do the combination in the second half of the short program, if she is doing it in the free why not in the short?, it's a lutz-toe combination anyway so she should be comfortable with it, that would help her to maximize her score with her current technical content

I liked Ko Nayeon, great jumps, Jia almost perfect but that last lutz... she was tired. The sisters were great but some mistakes here and there, idk if it's just me but they look very skinny?
