Such a shame about that fall on the loop. She so nearly held it. I think she's going to drop behind Sara-Maude, but hopefully she can stay on the podium. She's proved that Warsaw wasn't a fluke, and I would send her to 4CC as well.

Yes, I think she deserves more chances to gain experience, 4cc would be a good assignment.

Maddie's costume is stunning!

I support the choice to retire Danse Macabre, which was not working for Maddie IMHO. But, this choice is—puzzling. And the costume is too fussy for her—Maddie is in no way a tiara kind of person

Wow, Maddie sure knows how to excel in a pre-Olympic and Olympic season! As much as I enjoyed her Danse Macabre free skate, I think changing the energy of the free program and having a near-clean skate in the first outing of what will most likely be her Olympic free skate will hopefully help her have a great Worlds and beyond, and she seems to really enjoy this program.

Changing programs was a good decision. Maddie looks much more comfortable with this program already than she did with Danse Macabre.

The change of program was good for Maddie, she looks for comfortable with it. Not perfect, but it's her first time competing it.

That should be a comfortable win for Maddie. That programme suits her so much better. She made a wise choice. I am much more confident about her being able to do well at worlds now. It's a new programme and will improve from here.

Well, Maddie certainly won this. That was a beautiful performance, for a first outing. Her jumps look really good. Did she and Roman go to the same mental coach, lol? If so, everyone should go. Loved to see her fight was back. Love to see how happy she is skating, like in the SP. She looked like she was having a root canal every time she skate in the last two years.

Awesome skating from Maddie! She has everything ... technique, musicality, connection with music and audience, joyful fluency on the ice ... and these 2 days she showed it all. small mistakes not very noticeable because she kept her focus on her performance.

I'm happy I remained a Maddie Believer thru her struggles.

Setting the mistakes aside, it's astonishing that this program already looks SO GOOD despite it having been so recently choreographed! Maddie's power, passion, and grace are there for all to see, a lot of love has clearly been put into it!
