Wow that’s so coolWhen instead of the photo of my girlfriend I have a photo of me with Anna Shcherbakova as my mobile wallpaper?![]()
This is me every year for Japanese nationals, unless I watch it live, I may never have the chance to watch it again! When you wake up at 3:45am on the weekend to watch skating
I have to memorize it to correct my mom who has a list but whimsically interchange the competitions, who is skating where, plus I have to play charades with the names of the skaters and the countries they represent, and if they are junior or senior, because she could never remember the names. So, the outfit’s colour and the best guess at a country… I mean, there are some easy ones, because Ignatov will always be Ignat to her (presumably Makarov), but other rest are like, ‘such an easy name, you know, Denezhkina or something’ (ends up Storublevtzeva…))… basically, I have to be on the ball all the time....when you draw up a schedule for the coming week so as not to miss any of your favourite skaters, with Nebelhorn, JGP Ljubljana, Cup of Russia, and Cup of St. Petersburg all going down at the same time.

For me it's best christmas present...when you dread Christmas coming because it collides with Russian Nationals... especially this year's Russian Nationals......

I take mine off to clap so I can be heard and then put them back on because of cold. When you wear gloves/mittens in an arena to protect your hands from getting too red/cracked while clapping for the skaters (instead of from being too cold)!
When the first thing you do after returning from a holiday is getting all the news about Figure Skating as well as watching the Pairs Short at SA.
